2. The song Birdland was composed in 1977, and marked the peak of Weather Report’s career. It was also Weather Report’s most commercially successful composition, and served as a tribute to the New York jazz club on 52nd street that housed a countless number of famous jazz musicians. The song has an awesome saxophone line, as well as an awesome bass line. We also played this song :P
